Love Shack, Baby

The old Japanese Tea House

Now I’m going to have that song in my head for the next 48 hours. I guess it could be worse.

I was putting together the blog post for the Elephant Cafe while Wiki was already starting to rearrange another part of the property.

Prior to the Love Shack it was a Japanese tea house. It was nice but not very big and had limited decoration possibilities. Wiki wanted a bigger place to put “all the cool weird stuff.”

She started with a “Trompe Loeil – Mia Glass Cottage.” It came with a giant rock pond along the side of it, which we unlinked and removed. Wiki pointed out one great feature of this building – the windows can individually be turned into blinds, which she used to vary the space, as seen in the pics below.

Before I get to the gallery of pics, I need to point out our favorite piece. The hanging glass planters. I’m so fascinated with how designers make glass in Second LIfe. These have reflections (refractions?), adding to the realism.

Anyway, here are some pics of the Love Shack.
